Backflips in a restaurant was nothing short of a smooth and exceptional dinner service at G’s Bar & Grill.
Appetiser was delivered with high energy by Dylan Atlantis, with Dylan and the accompanying band members all bringing their unique energy to the stage. From the start of the show, Dylan’s charisma and youthful energy could be felt through the way they build rapport with the audience to leading everyone to jump and sing along to their songs. Band members also had their own charisma, with the keyboardist having a solo voicebox segment and solo saxophone verse in the last song. Dylan Atlantis delivered a range of music genres too, from R&B, hip hop, to rock, you could tell that she is able to put her own flair to different genres to make them blend into her own style.
For Grent Perez’s show, the outfits and the set details like restaurant signs, table for two, cozy lamps, all tied the concept of G’s Bar & Grill together perfectly. Grent had on a denim chef’s uniform, guitarist (and also violinist) Timi had on a denim apron, and drummer Ichi was the bartender and usher for the night. Upon entering the stage, Grent effortlessly guided the whole energy of the space and the chemistry between Grent, Timmy and Ichi was undeniable. It felt like you were also a part of their banter and also sharing the fun and joy with them. The humour and positive energy from the three of them were infectious and you can tell they were genuinely having fun while delivering a flawless dinner service. Also, lots of cute flirting and complimenting of one another throughout the set. Grent also recorded a short video to his girlfriend with the audience, before his song about long-distance relationships, 12065.
A young couple (it was their anniversary) were also brought up on stage nearing the end of the show, and Grent and Timi (with his violin) serenaded them.
Overall, it was a memorable show, all the while making you feel like you’re personally experiencing the dinner service they intended to deliver (vocals definitely served), and leave feeling satisfied and wanting to book in again for another visit. :)
